In 2003, Austrian-born Heinz Krassnig, and his wife, Maria Runggaldier a native of Italy (Trentino-Suedtirol), established their cozy bed-and-breakfast & vacation farm in rural Georgia. They had visited more than 55 properties in several southeastern U.S. states, before deciding on a picturesque 30-acre farm setting in central Georgia where the climate and gently rolling landscape reminded them of similar sites in Europe. The couple bought the property, landscaped the grounds, renovated the interior of the farmhouse, expanded the dining area, and added four well-appointed guestrooms for visitors.

.Always an advocate for freshly-prepared foods served with artistry and imagination, Maria had long-ago perfected her cooking skills at a culinary school in Northern Italy. Her expertly prepared Italian and Mediterranean-style cuisine, featuring high-quality, fresh ingredients grown locally, draws discriminating diners to the farm on Friday and Saturday nights and on other holidays and special occasions. Dining at Maria’s is optional for bed-and-breakfast guests. The Dublin Farm is open year-round and welcomes families, couples, business travelers, and others seeking a relaxed, peaceful retreat in the rural countryside, coupled with exceptional dining at a reasonable price.
